Ten Years Ago. . .

Ten years ago, I lived in New York City. If you had asked, I would have told you that I would never leave the best city on earth.

Ten years ago, I called myself an actress, and considered it my life's ambition to sing and perform on stage.

Ten years ago, I had never met the person who I pledged to spend the rest of my life with. In fact, ten years ago I had sworn off dating completely, after one too many failed relationships and heartbreaks. Jokingly I told friends that I was going to start the first Southern Baptist convent.

Ten years ago, I dreamed of having children but felt I'd never get the chance to see that dream come true. (see above.)

Ten years ago, the talk on the news was of local elections, potential strikes, traffic, weather. Oh, and sports.

Ten years ago, my biggest worry was paying my rent, dealing with that psycho roommate, and getting to work on time.

Ten years ago, I had no idea that the entire world would change tomorrow.
