Joel and I attended Church this morning at St. Andrew's Church of Scotland, a "Presbyterian" church led by a Scottish minister (think heavy accent Aka. Mike Myers). It was nice, and they had a potluck lunch afterwards, and we visited with several folks who were in Rome visiting and dropped into the church for the day also.
Afterwards, (after a much needed potty break for the pregnant woman) we stopped by the park near our house, and took Easter pictures. And Joel got me a pretty Azalea bush from the flower guy on the corner. Rome is practically deserted - there is no one in the parks, no cars on the roads at all. Even for a Sunday, it's crazy quiet.
We're spending the afternoon relaxing on our balcony enjoying the warm sun and just hanging out. I'll go and make our nice Easter dinner eventually, but it's so pretty outside!
The Easter Bunny didn't bring us much candy, because the pregnant woman in the house would have eaten it all way before today. But Joel did get two boxes of Snowcaps
from his sister, Lucy, in Florida. Crazy. $1 worth of candy totally made his day!I hope all of you are enjoying your Easter as much as we are!
Love,
Julie and Joel
